What does a sponsoring LIR do?
The RIPE NCC issues AS Numbers, PI and legacy resources to end users only through a LIR. As your sponsoring LIR we hold that contractual relationship and keep the registration accurate. Your ASN or resource stays assigned to you, registered in your name rather than ours, and you can take it to another sponsoring LIR.
Can I announce the IP addresses from my own network?
Yes. You are the maintainer of the IPv6 object, so the space is fully under your control and you can announce the prefix from your own AS through any upstream. There is no requirement to use our infrastructure.
What documents do I need?
For individuals, the RIPE NCC runs the identity check itself, either through iDenfy or over a ticket with them, and accepts a national ID, an international passport or a driving licence. For companies, you will need your legal registration papers where applicable, an official document that justifies the registration and names the company's manager, and a link to a government site where the company can be confirmed by its registration number. Either way you will sign an End User agreement, as RIPE policy demands. For an ASN, RIPE also expects proof of multihoming: two upstreams that have agreed to establish BGP sessions with your AS and can confirm it in writing, by email or a signed LOA.
What happens to the resources if I cancel?
Sponsored resources return to the RIPE NCC or move to another sponsoring LIR at the end of the term, and rented PA prefixes return to our pool. Plan a migration before you cancel - tell us early and we will help hand the resources over cleanly.
How long does the entire process take?
IPv6 PA rental is provisioned within 1-2 business days. ASN registration can take up to 10 business days: we prepare and submit the request, then wait on RIPE NCC processing, so the exact timing depends on how quickly your documents come back and on the RIPE NCC queue.
Do you create ROAs for my prefix?
Yes, on request. Send us the origin AS and the maximum prefix length you want authorised, and we will create the ROA for the prefix.

Excellent hosting. Finally, we found one where the uptime of nodes is more than 99.9%. Germany is more than stable. The network provides a high-speed, multi-gigabit channel. It's time to write a review after using the host for the third month. I'll probably start with a story about how I often had a negative attitude towards projects that used this hosting before. Had not the most positive experience. However, having recently tried myself in the role of a project owner for the first time, I can safely say that those emotions are far in the past. Here you have both power, and price within reasonable limits, and technical support with a response faster than lightning and a genuine desire to help you. I'm pleased with the informativeness of the panel and its ease of use, however, I would like to see the ability to search for files, similar to a similar function in a conventional explorer.
